‘Harsevak’ was set in motion!
It was launched with the realization: there was much to do if we looked up and outside of our comfort niche.
Someone’s waste could be a luxury for another! Extra food, recycled-upcycled clothes, blankets, books, utensils, stationary supplies, sanitary napkins, electronic devices and many other such commodities had the potential to provide sustenance and practically change the lives of the economically weaker population, orphaned children, abandoned senior citizens, widows/destitute women, slum dwellers and daily wage labourers etc.
Harsevak is also closely connected with the environment and its preservation emphasising on reuse, recycle and restoration of nature and mother earth. We believe that there is a way for humanity to share the resources of our planet and offer our dues in return.
From a humble beginning; where good deeds begin at home and the neighborhood community to now being on its way to a registered trust, Harsevak has travelled a bit.
We hope to contribute selflessly with the help of our ever growing family of volunteers – Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (in sanskrit, means: The world is a family )
